1. Agreement
These Terms of Service apply when you access or use MatchDesk. By creating an account, using the app, publishing a report, or buying a paid plan, you agree to these terms. If you use MatchDesk for a club, organisation, league, or business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.
2. The service
MatchDesk helps football clubs create match reports, public club pages, social copy, team and sponsor records, and related matchday content. We may improve, add, remove, or change features where needed to run the service, protect users, comply with law, or improve the product.
3. Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping login details secure and for activity under your account.
- You must only invite users who are authorised to access your club or organisation data.
- You must tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
4. Club content and permissions
You own or control the club data, images, logos, match notes, player details, sponsor details, and other content you enter into MatchDesk. You give us permission to host, process, generate, display, publish, and share that content as needed to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed to upload, generate, and publish content, including player names, youth player information, photographs, sponsor logos, venue details, quotes, and match reports.
For youth football content, you must follow your club, league, parent consent, safeguarding, and media policies. MatchDesk provides youth report safeguards, but you remain responsible for checking that any published text, image, caption, and social copy is appropriate.
5. AI-assisted writing
MatchDesk uses AI to help prepare report drafts and social copy from the match details you provide. AI-assisted drafts can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or unsuitable. You must review and edit drafts before publishing or sharing them. MatchDesk does not guarantee that AI-assisted text is factually correct, legally compliant, non-infringing, or suitable for your specific situation.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use MatchDesk for unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, or harmful content.
- Do not upload malware, attack the service, scrape private data, bypass security, or test vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Do not publish personal data you do not have permission or a lawful basis to use.
- Do not impersonate another club, person, sponsor, league, or rights holder.
- Do not use MatchDesk in a way that could damage the platform, other users, or public trust in the service.
7. Plans, payments, and billing
Paid plans, setup fees, top-ups, upgrades, downgrades, invoices, and payment collection are handled through Stripe. MatchDesk never sees or stores full card details. Prices, allowances, and plan features are shown on the website or in the billing area before purchase.
Subscription changes may be handled by Stripe using the billing rules shown at checkout or in the billing portal, including proration where applicable. You are responsible for checking the plan, price, billing cycle, and renewal details before confirming payment.
8. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel a paid subscription through the billing area where available, or by contacting us. Cancellation normally stops future renewals rather than refunding past periods. Refunds are considered case by case and may be required where consumer law or payment rules apply. One-off setup work, completed white-glove setup, and used top-ups may be non-refundable unless the law says otherwise.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep MatchDesk available, but we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may suspend access for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, unpaid invoices, or serious breach of these terms.
10. Intellectual property
MatchDesk, the software, design, workflows, branding, and platform materials belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as allowed by these terms. You keep ownership of your club content, but public reports and public pages may remain accessible to visitors while they are published.
11. Liability
MatchDesk is provided with reasonable care, but we cannot accept responsibility for every loss connected to user content, AI-assisted writing, incorrect match information, publishing decisions, third-party services, payment providers, connectivity issues, or unauthorised use caused by poor account security. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
12. Ending access
You may stop using MatchDesk at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create security risk, misuse the service, or use the service unlawfully. We will act proportionately where possible.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer or data protection law gives you rights that cannot be excluded.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@matchdesk.app.
