1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies store or read information on your device. They can be used for security, login sessions, preferences, payments, analytics, or marketing. Browser storage, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, works in a similar way for legal consent purposes because it stores information on your device.
2. Our current approach
MatchDesk currently uses necessary cookies and browser storage for the service to work. We do not currently load optional analytics or advertising cookies before consent. If we add optional analytics or marketing tools later, they must be switched off by default and loaded only after the correct consent is given.
3. Necessary cookies and storage
These are needed to provide the service you ask for, keep the app secure, and remember basic settings. They cannot be switched off through MatchDesk's cookie banner because the service would not work properly without them.
- Supabase authentication storage keeps users signed in and protects account access.
- MatchDesk preference storage remembers items such as theme, selected organisation, selected team, last report, role cache, and report creation intent.
- Cookie consent storage remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask on every page.
- Stripe may set necessary cookies when you use Stripe Checkout, the billing portal, invoices, receipts, or payment security checks.
- Vercel and security infrastructure may use technical data needed to deliver, protect, and monitor the website.
4. Optional analytics and marketing
Optional analytics would help us understand how people use MatchDesk. Optional marketing cookies would help with advertising or campaign measurement. These are not currently active in the app. If they are added, you will be able to accept, reject, or change those choices without losing access to the service.
5. Managing your choices
You can accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or save your own choices. Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it, so you can reopen the cookie settings here at any time.
6. Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. If you block necessary storage, some parts of MatchDesk may stop working, including sign-in, payments, saved settings, and dashboard features.
7. Changes
We will update this policy if we add new cookie categories, analytics tools, advertising tools, or material changes to how MatchDesk stores information on your device.
